GYRE :: Loop manipulation framework for Pd
OVERVIEW:
I've noticed a lack of Pd tools oriented toward more mainstream arrangement styles. So, here is a framework called gyre (see: What does gyre mean?) for manipulating loops in Pd.
Required Libraries:
- cyclone
- stripdir
- arraysize
- zexy
- creb creb is an AMAZING library! it contains the secret tabreadmix~ that makes my old-skool akai-style timestretches crunchy.
DOWNLOAD:
The latest release is August 13, 2003.There are two formats:
- gyre_full.zip contains all the externs you need (in windows dll format)
- gyre_no-externs.zip does not contain the externs.
08/17/2003: I wrote a brief introduction to the framework here.
LEGAL NOTE: gyre is released under the GPL, which basically means that if you re-distribute this patch, with changes or without, you must make full source code (pd patchers) available for your changes at no extra charge. Currently, all Pd patchers are source+binary, so this isn't really an issue. But I'm trying to keep code like this available to everyone (and not snatched up by a proprietary software firm) so the GPL seemed like the best license to release it under.
